Seriously though. Every shoot is TFP, time for prints: your time, my camera, and we both keep the photos. I'm building a portfolio, you're getting free pictures. Everyone wins.

What I'm looking for

Honestly? Anyone with a face and some personality. Models, photographers, musicians, artists, anyone who's been thinking about doing a shoot but hasn't found the right person yet. If you're a lamp post with good bone structure I'd probably shoot you too.

What to expect

I like having a plan. Mood boards, location ideas, a rough vibe. But I also like ignoring the plan when something better happens in the moment. So come prepared but stay flexible.

It's relaxed. No pressure, no awkward directing. We'll walk around, find good light, and figure it out together. If we get something great, amazing. If some shots don't work out, that's fine too. Not every frame is going to be a banger and that's the whole point of developing.

And just so we're on the same page

  • —TFP means nobody pays anybody. No fees, no catches, no invoice appearing three weeks later.
  • —I shoot natural light only. No studio, no professional lighting setup. Streets, parks, golden hour, night lights. That's my world for now.
  • —Self-taught, three years in, and getting better every shoot. If you want stiff corporate headshots, I'm not your guy.
  • —Based in Brisbane. Happy to travel a bit with enough notice. If I'm heading somewhere new I'll post about it.
  • —Weekends work best. I have a day job and an actual life outside of this (shocking, I know). Let's plan ahead.
